In 2021, an impressive lookout forest park Hlídka na Stráži was built on the top of the hill. It includes four new prospects called Miner, Fox, Sheep and Bear.
Strážník Rock Lookout Tower is a natural lookout point in the Giant Mountains near Rokytnice nad Jizerou. The top of the lookout point is located at an altitude of 778 m above sea level.
In the past, Mount Stráž served as a guard hill. Patrols from the hill guarded the access roads and, when threatened by the enemy, warned the surrounding population with fire signals. The fire signals were to reach over Kozákov hill and other guard hills all the way to the center of Bohemia.
The shortest way is probably along the yellow KČT hiking trail from the square in Rokytnice to the top until you come across a crossroads with the red one, along which you turn right and the red one will take you to the top.
