Weber´s trail: Spindleruv Mlyn Divci lavky - Pec pod Snezkou, Lucni bouda.
The trail was open more than a hundred years ago (1891) and belongs to the most romantic walks in the Giant Mountains. The valley is surrounded with Maly Sisak and Stribrny ridge from north and with steep slopes of Kozi hrbety from south. There is a lot of features which are characteristic for the Giant Mountains on this trail.
From Divci lavky (Girls´ footbridge) to the waterfalls of Bile Labe goes a road on the right bank where all affluents flow. At first, we cross the Cerveny creek and then a smaller creek and after ¾ km (behind the waterfall of Bile Labe) also the Hrimava bystrina (thunder stream). We continue on the right bank from waterfalls to the chalet U Bileho Labe and we cross the river ½ km under the chalet, to the steeper side of the valley. The chalet is situated at the intersection with Drevarska trail (yellow mark) 1000 m above sea level (former mostly with beech forests). Certova strouha (Devil´s creek) flows from Certuv dul (Devil´s valley) here. From the chalet U Bileho Labe to the Bila louka (white meadow). We enter the 2nd zone of the National Park.
If you do not have the visiting rule of the National Park, please do not forget that from this moment you should not pick forest fruits and you should stay only on marked trails, or you should dismount your bike. After ½ km, we cross the border of the 1st zone of the National Park (the most highly protected zone). We will go around dwarf mountain pine and we cross several avalanche tracks. Through the Bila louka (white meadow) to the Lucni bouda (Meadow chalet). In summer, a rocky path leads us up, in winter, the path is closed and a road with wooden poles goes to the Bile Labe river across the Stribrna bystrina (creek) to the Lucni chalet. On the right side, there is the third and second highest mountain in the Czech Republic - Lucni mountain 1457 m above sea level and Studnicni mountain 1554 m above sea level.
A large plain of the Bila meadow is partly covered by dwarf mountain pine. A part was cut and burned and meadows form mountain grass.
Where can we continue? From Lucni chalet can we go through the Upske raseliniste (peat-bog) to Snezka mountain. Another trail leads to the Renner´s cross (a memorial to prey of the mountains) and then back to Spindleruv Mlyn. The third possibility is the old Buchar´s trail through the Svaty Petr valley to Spindleruv Mlyn (it is closed in winter).
Length: 8.5 km, elevation: 640 m Maximal altitude: 1420 m, Minimal altitude:780 m.
