Tourism Kuks
The hospital in Kuks was founded by Count František Antonín Špork at the beginning of the 18th century as a resting place for retired soldiers, who were cared for by the Order of Merciful Brothers. It is an important Baroque monument, whose appearance was attended by world-class artists: especially the architect Giovanni Batista Alliprandi and the sculptor Matyáš Bernard Braun. The Kuks Hospital complex is famous for the monumental Church of the Holy Trinity, the cycle of murals of the Dance of Death, allegories of Virtues and Vices and one of the oldest pharmacies - U Granátového apples.
