Leisure Spindleruv Mlyn
Riding on the longest illuminated toboggan run in the Czech Republic, these are your unique experiences on the snow. The track is located in Špindlerův Mlýn and while overcoming it you can enjoy almost 3 kilometers of sleigh rides with an elevation gain of up to 400 meters.
Are you looking for a great experience for the weekend or just an evening super program after skiing? Do you want to visit the Giant Mountains and are you wondering what activity will brighten your holiday? Come and try sledding - a winter sport that arrived in the Giant Mountains long before the first skiers. Everyone, parents with children, a bunch of friends and corporate clients will have a lot of fun on the sledge…
And that you don't want to step uphill and pull a sledge? No problem. Each ticket to the track includes a bus ride to the start and a sleigh rental. All you have to do is dress appropriately, pack a lot of good mood and choose whether you want to try day or night rides on a lighted track. We'll take care of the rest.
The start of the daily groomed toboggan run is located near Špindlerův bouda - at the Malý Šišák Military Convalescent Home. The destination is located on Dívčí lávky, about a 15-minute walk from the city center. You can comfortably get to the start with one of our buses designed for transporting sledges. They leave the city center at regular intervals and stop at selected stops on the way to the start. There are prepared sledges waiting for you. Everyone rides the sleigh alone, only children under the age of 7 are always accompanied by an adult.
After the descent of the track, you will drop off your sleigh at our bistro at the finish line on Dívčí lávky. Here you have the opportunity to refresh yourself and decide whether to take another ride or get back to the city by bus. You can also get to the city center on your own - a pleasant walk along the footpath along the Elbe.
In favorable snow and weather conditions, the track is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00. Evening rides from Tuesday to Saturday always from 18:00 to 21:00. The last sleds are let on the track no later than 30 minutes before the end of the operating hours.

MORE
In case of great interest of sledders, buses can run outside of these times. You will receive information from the staff in the city center or at our HOTLINE.
The start of the track is located on the ridges, at an altitude of 1155 meters above sea level. On a length of less than three kilometers, you descend to an altitude of about 780 meters above sea level, the elevation gain is less than 400 meters.
The track crosses the road from Špindlerův Mlýn to Špindlerův bouda 3 times and can therefore be divided into 4 sections.
To illustrate, we present the difficulty of individual sections with colors, as is the case with ski slopes.
MORE
At the finish on Dívčí lávky, near the confluence of the Elbe and Bílý Labe, it is time to hand over the borrowed sleigh. Today it is no longer recognizable, but in the past there was a ski jump on the slope just above this place - the largest in our territory at the time.
Our priority is to ensure maximum safety for every sledder and minimize the risk of accidents.
When taking the bus to the start, you have the opportunity to watch an instructional video with basic information about the track and safety rules (see here). If necessary, further information and advice will be given to you by the runway operator at the start, who will also supervise the start at safe intervals.
There are information signs on the track in many places indicating places where it is advisable to drive more carefully, a number of safety mattresses and a safety net. But the most important thing is on every sledder. Under different snow conditions, the sleds behave differently and travel at different speeds. Sometimes you need to brake more, sometimes less. Every sledder should have at least a small amount of fear, respect and instinct for self-preservation so that he enjoys the descent on the track and reaches the finish line safely. It is always necessary to adapt the driving speed to the condition of the track and your abilities.
We also recommend that you read Tips and Advice not only on suitable equipment and our Safety Ten.
