The Martinice v Krkonoše railway history association brings the 12th year of nostalgic steam train rides on the Vrchlabí – Kunčice nad Labem – Martinice v Krkonoše – Rokytnice nad Jizerou line to the local and tourist public. An unusual option is to take advantage of the loading of the steam train and take a ride to the Krkonoše from Turnov on Friday and, conversely, take a steam train from the Krkonoše to Český raj on Monday.
The set of historic cars will be led by steam locomotive 310.0134 Kafemlejnek. The set will include a restaurant car with light refreshments and railway-themed souvenirs.
The trains pass through the unique Martinice station in the Giant Mountains, which has been a cultural monument since 2016 due to its appearance and technical equipment. A railway museum is open here. On Saturday, there will be a program for parents with children at the station with Count Harrach. An animated educational trail will also be interesting.
"2. Krkonoše steam weekend" is connected with the "Beer Festival" in Vrchlabí and the St. Lawrence Pilgrimage in Jilemnica.
